Tibetan Heart Yoga

In Tibetan Heart Yoga, asana, pranayama, mudras, kriyas and bandhas – all the essential elements of a traditionl Hatha Yoga practice along with meditative awareness and visualization bring the thoughts and energy into areas of tension or weakness to nurture radiant physical and mental health, balance, compassion and joy.

Each class will feature a full length asana and meditation practice with songs, as well as teachings on compassion, the six perfections, karma, emptiness, the chakras and the inner channels. Inspiration for the asana sequences and meditation comes from ancient manuscripts researched and digitally preserved by Geshe-hla and a team of Tibetan refugees and yogis worldwide. These include woodblocks and texts, the walls of the Dalai Lamas’ meditation chamber, and a secret yoga school for women founded by the great Yogini, Lady Niguma a thousand years ago.
