Now in its 22th year, our 200-Hr Yoga Alliance-recognized training will help you acquire the foundational skills to teach and share your passion for yoga with others.
Grow personally and professionally in a supportive, non-competitive environment based on mutual respect, personal integrity, commitment and sharing. You’ll learn from senior teachers who combine the wisdom of traditional yoga teachings with a modern understanding of anatomy, yoga science and Western culture.
With monthly weekend intensives spanning nine months, our program is ideal for those with busy schedules and anyone who needs to compress onsite learning into short time frames.
Program Components:
- Asana and Pranayama – ABCs (alignment, benefits and contraindications of postures); modifications; propping and supports
- Anatomy – as it relates to asana
- Business Practices: the business of being a yoga teacher
- Class sequencing and lesson planning
- Cuing 101
- Ethics and Boundaries – on and off the mat
- Meditation, mantras, breath awareness, sound and chakras
- Postural assessment
- Practice teaching and feedback supported by senior teachers (three practice teach opportunities and one studio teach)
- The 14 Basics
- The science, psychology, history and philosophy of yoga
- Teaching yoga to special interest groups and needs (e.g., modifications for physical conditions)
- Various class styles, including: Hatha, Gentle and Restorative, Realignment and Yoga Nidra

Pre-requisites:
- At least two years of Hatha yoga experience
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Submission and approval of your application
- A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a spot
Program Requirements:
- Attendance of all nine weekend intensives
- Attendance of an additional 10-hour weekend workshop at Yoga for Today with an approved international instructor
- Maintenance of a weekly Hatha yoga practice throughout the duration of the program (at Yoga for Today or another studio upon approval)
Tuition $3,150 + gst, non-refundable once training starts
$500 non-refundable deposit due upon acceptance
